In case you missed it an amazing special feature on #TheHungerGames prequel was released, and it makes me as excited to see The Ballad of Songbirds and Snake as I was for Catching Fire back in the day.

its hilarious how im juggling 3 1/2 video games that i have no interest in playing myself or watching a playthrough of (only bc of the youtuber themselves i dunno any who have played them) but which i wanna get into solely for the characters and story and i see them on my dash all the time bc of my mutuals. ive never done this before all my interests were home grown and tended to delicately in my garden one at a time

Aster: Protects the earth from space projectiles and causes harmless meteor showers for people to wish upon. He also is able to fulfill these wishes. Chooses to reside in the mortal realm and travels around the globe.

Astron: The universe itself. The creator of all stars and planets and gods. Very loving, very pacifistic and also very very busy. Doesn't tend to interact with mortals personally much though he does love them.

Dimitri: God of nature, harvest, fertility and life. Resides in a sacred forest in the mortal realm. Sometimes blesses mortals if they approach him with offerings and treat nature with respect.

Felicity: Goddess of Luck/Fortune and The Arts! She can fill mortals with inspiration, hope and happiness and cause good things to happen to them. She is the muse of many artists, being worshipped by them. She is very hyperactive, zipping from place to place. She can't stay in one place, and is always fleeting. But she also doesn't stay away long.

Kronos: God of Time/time itself. Makes sure time flows the way it's supposed to and that everything happens when it should. Also works with warden, telling him when each mortal should die. He normally doesn't interfere with mortals unless the world is in danger because of their actions. Sometimes blesses mortals with future sight if he feels generous though this blessing is fickle and takes skill to master.

Lune: god of the moon, the night, constellations, sleep, dreams, guardian of night time travelers, keeper of stories, water and peace. A peaceful and mellow god with a real liking for mortals. He doesn't like to see them suffer and watches over them the best he can. Can sometimes be interacted with in dreams but you probably will not remember it.

Sol: God of the sun, fire, war and volcanoes/magma/the core of the earth as well as earthquakes. He has a temper as well as pride. Can be very destructive, but also provides light and warmth for live to be able to grow and thrive. He isn't merciless by any means, even in war, one must have respect for their opponent

Warden: god and judge of the dead. He sends out reapers to fetch and guide mortal souls when it's their time and judges them to see to which afterlife they will go. If a mortal is judged to be true neutral, they are asked if they want to join his workforce as a reaper. If they do not want this, they are sent along to Morgan to live their afterlife in peace

Morgan: God of the afterlife and caretaker of souls. He makes sure every mortal soul is able to have a peaceful and loving afterlife, being able to reunite with fellow passed loved ones and do all the things they still wanted to do back on earth. He also allows mortals to undergo permanent death if they so wish at any point where their energy will be absorbed back into Astron to be turned into something or someone new.

Beelzeboss: Self proclaimed god of justice and order, god of wrath and repercussions. A god that was not meant to be created but Astron does not like to destroy his creations even if there was a glitch. He wants to see all mortals burn for even the smallest of sins. However only the very worst are sent to his realm which he isn't really happy about.

Aurora before the fall: goddess of magic, spirits, the tundra and the northern lights. While most gods have magic limited to their role, Aurora pretty much was magic itself. She blessed the world with magic, created spirits to inhabit and watch over the world and help out her fellow deities. She even had her own people she made before the fateful incident..

Aurora post fall: Goddess of Chaos, Fear, Discourse and Dark Magic. Mother of Demons and Monsters. She is much weaker now, and mostly stuck in her realm within the mortal realm. But she won't let herself be stopped that easily.

I haven't had too much time to fully develop her but she's a really kind and friendly kiddo 💙 She really loves flowers too, her favorites are sunflowers (Sol. Sun. You get it hehe!)! One of her favorite things to do when she was little was make flower crowns for her parents! It's really cute-skgjdjfkd I think she associates a flower to all the people she's close to

She's also quite knowledgeable about tea! That interest of hers kinda started because she wanted to make the best chamomile tea for her dad Dimitri and it grew from there! Now she's quite knowledgeable about it and likes making some flr her friends and family 💙

Feliz aniversário, Maethe.

Após alguns anos na cabana, os sintomas da amnésia dissociativa de Maethe apenas se agravam, sem sinal de melhora, e seus companheiros se preocupam severamente com isso.

Shiro fecha a porta silenciosamente, na medida do possível, e solta um suspiro aliviado quando consegue o fazer sem ouvir um grito raivoso em resposta – era tal qual ninar uma criança, exceto que a criança em questão gritava que queria voltar para casa, xingava em russo e precisava dormir amarrada à cama. Dimitri está encostado na parede logo ao lado, com o rosto franzido em preocupação; por sua postura, é possível perceber que não havia acabado de chegar, e muito menos estava ali a pouco tempo. O ruivo coloca uma mão no ombro de seu companheiro, que se assusta um tanto com a aproximação, absorto em seus próprios pensamentos.

"Ela dormiu?" ele indaga

"Finalmente, sim." Shiro responde "Vou ter que cobrí-la na missão de hoje, ou teremos problemas."

Enquanto o albino sai, um pouco apressado e claramente cansado, Dimitri abaixa uma mão, que se estendia para afagar seus cabelos em um gesto de afeto antes que o outro saísse. Ele suspira, não alterando muito de sua expressão habitual de estresse e poucos amigos.

"Manter essa garota viva é como ter um cadáver que anda e respira. O Operador só não matou ela por uma piada de mau gosto."

As palavras de Magda caem duras e fortes na consciência de Shiro, enquanto o homem pega um moletom limpo em seu armário, após passar uma madrugada inteira sendo chutado e agarrado. Antes de colocar a roupa usada no cesto, ele encara uma mancha de sangue em seu ombro, com flashes de memória do momento em que Maethe, abraçada nele, esfregou o rosto molhado de lágrimas em seu ombro, e se assustou com o rastro de sangue de seu nariz.

Os surtos nunca foram tão aleatórios assim, por mais que vira e mexe acontecessem sem explicação aparente. Toda a casa sabia que época era essa: o aniversário de chegada de Maethe. Essa data sempre trazia problemas desde seu segundo ano de estadia na cabana. Conforme o passar do tempo, os proxies perceberam que sua amnésia parecia piorar, junto de outros sintomas cruéis que fazem com que ela precise ser substituída em missão com muito mais frequência que os outros proxies. Esse ano, com seu aniversário de 20 anos, não seria diferente. Após duas noites em claro, é difícil para Shiro dizer o que vem de sua personalidade serena e o que representa o cansaço de virar o dia cuidando de Maethe – às vezes M8, o que era mil vezes pior. Por mais que o corpo fosse o mesmo, enquanto Maethe se mantinha em seu estado de confusão eterna, M8 era cruel. Seu único objetivo é machucar, atingir, ferir, usando todas as memórias de Maethe para jorrar veneno em todos que tentavam contê-la, mirando nos pontos mais fracos – isso quando não partia diretamente para a agressão física, e acredite, por mais frágil que o corpo seja ou esteja, isso nunca impediu M8 de se jogar, arranhar, arrancar, morder e rasgar. Ela era uma besta, e o pior, treinada. Maethe havia alertado em diversas situações sobre M8, como ela age, e como eles poderiam usar de qualquer método necessário para pará-la; mas que merda, como dói. Só Shiro sabe como é a sensação de ver a garota que uma vez o chamou de Pai lembrá-lo de seu fracasso com sua família, ou pior, tentar matá-lo, sem mais nem menos. Dimitri finge não sentir, mas igualmente sofreu com os momentos de acesso de M8 ao corpo – algo que se tornara muito mais frequente com o passar dos anos.

Com os passos pesados, Shiro sai de seu quarto com um papel amassado, rasgado e rabiscado em mãos – suas instruções, escritas cuidadosamente pelas mãos trêmulas de Maethe –, baixando a máscara e indo na direção da porta da cabana. Quando Shiro abre a porta principal, o sol está abraçando as últimas árvores no horizonte, antes de esconder-se atrás dos pinheiros mais altos que cercam a cabana como uma muralha. Com o clima de junho começando a esquentar, o chão que rodeia a cabana não mais está molhado e lamacento, mas firme e quase batido, com alguns resquícios de grama, flores invasoras e ervas daninhas se precipitando. Até mesmo os crisântemos que plantaram ano passado começam a desabrochar, sendo contemplados pelos últimos raios de calor do dia. Shiro sorri, um tanto melancólico, pensando que Maethe vai gostar de vê-los quando melhorar. Alguns passos para fora, o homem é interrompido em seu caminho ao ouvir um sibilar suave vindo de suas costas. Na porta, encostado no batente, estava Dimitri com sua melhor expressão de carinho, na medida em que o ruivo consegue ser carinhoso fora de 4 paredes.

"Eu cuido dela, mas vê se não morre."

Ele não vê, mas Shiro sorri, novamente, por trás da máscara, antes de desaparecer na vasta escuridão. Ao menos, um pouco de conforto lhe é fornecido.

Yet, The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes by Suzanne Collins still managed to grab enough of my attention at the time, even if I now barely remember the book but that’s ok. As for this adaptation, Francis Lawrence, who delivered excellent entries in this saga is back behind the camera.…

I'm quite serious, it is so fun knowing all sorts of minute info and trivia about characters because it makes them feel so much more fleshed out and like actual people. Tell me what flavor of ice cream they would pick!! What kind of drawing skills do they have!! What do they do in their free time!! Tell me!!

(But man, it has been a hot second since I've played board games! I suppose part of it is just that I don't really have any irl friends. Also because I know like four board games I'm gonna throw in some card games too)

-Chipp likes playing Settlers of Catan as practice for trade delegations in the ECK

-Nagoriyuki used to play Shogi, but it's hard to find anyone with enough patience to learn it and enough aptitude to be an actual challenge for him. Secretly, though, sometimes he still confuses the osho and gyokusho pieces for each other, and he's embarrassed about it

-Likewise, Baiken is trying to teach Delilah about hanafuda and how to play Koi-Koi but it isn't going super well, she's mostly just interested by the artwork and likes to look at the pretty designs

-Faust plays mancala, sometimes as an intellectual pursuit and other times because he just likes playing with the little glass beads and making them plink against each other.

-Johnny is a gambling man, as we all know, but as of now all board games are banned on the Mayship because he realized his habits were rubbing off and the girls were making bets over yahtzee. He's trying to set a good example for them but so far hasn't been able to come up with a good explanation for why it's bad without making himself look like a hypocrite. He means well.

-Ky is one of those sickos who unironically enjoys Monopoly. He finds it relaxing. Mysteriously, whenever he goes to play it with someone, the box vanishes

-Perhaps not a board game per se, but Sin loves those water toys where you squeeze the button to make the water shoot and you try and get the little colored rings on the little hooks. It's very enriching.

-Sol claims he hates board games, but he absolutely gets a smug sense of satisfaction over the fact that he whoops ass at Trivial Pursuit.

-You would think Axl would also kick ass at old-timey Trivial Pursuit but he doesn't actually remember a lot of that stuff. He's quite fond of shut the box/canoga though, he played it a lot back during his bar-hopping days

-Elphelt likes candyland because she has a crush on literally every character in it

-Ramlethal will play just about anything the others offer up, but she will gleefully make up her own rules just to throw everyone off mid-game. Ram is also a knockout at Risk, but nobody plays it with her because she gets really intense about it

-You would think Bedman would be good at chess because of the whole 'smart guys play chess' bit but secretly he's only half decent and the only reason he has such an impressive winning streak is because he mostly plays against Sin

-Scrabble is officially banned from Illyria castle because of what happened the last time the Kiske family played it, referred to as 'The Great Scrabble Disaster of 2187'

-Taokaka loves playing games with people! Unfortunately she doesn't play any of them correctly. Whether that's on purpose or not is a question for the ages

-The Cooper Gang in general like playing card games to pass time between jobs. Sly always cheats. They are fully aware that he cheats. Nobody says anything.

-Murray likes playing mousetrap but nobody else ever wants to play with him because getting all the game parts set up takes forever

-One time Dimitri suggested a gang-wide game of Cluedo and long story short it ended up with the board being broken in half and several murder attempts. Penelope still insists she was framed.

Vu que j'ai un doute sur si c'est un WIP pas publié du tout (mais vraiment pas une ligne de posté) ou si c'est un WIP en cours d'écriture, qui a été publié en partie mais de partager un morceau qui n'a pas encore été publié, autant mettre les deux !

Extrait 1 :

« Devant le ciel du soir, je prends témoin pour ce serment !

Tachant la fausse blancheur de l’âme noire,

J’imprime en elle par la rougeur du sang son errement,

Ordonnant à jamais pour chasser l’illusoire !

De ronces, j’enserre tes bras,

D’épines, ta gorge se couvre,

Pour qu’enfin ici-bas,

Tu ne jettes plus personne dans le gouffre !

À jamais aux innocents plus aucun mal tu ne pourras infliger !

Par ces mots, je te l’ordonne, par ces mots, je t’oblige !

Que ce soit par ta voix ou tes mains à présent liées !

Jusqu’à ta rédemption, tu vivras avec ce corps maudit !

Extrait 2 :

Les bougies moururent toutes dans un même souffle alors que le grondement se faisait réentendre, furieux. Eldegard se releva tout de suite, prête à affronter l’ennemi caché dans l’ombre, toujours armé de son poignard. Il faisait si froid ! Elle se croirait au pire de l’hiver faerghien alors qu’il était pendant la lune du grand arbre !

« Eldegard… toi qui nous a tout pris… n’oublie pas… »

Eldegard vit alors une silhouette se dessiner dans l’ombre, sombre et imposante, né des ténèbres tout autour d’elle… un homme immense couronné d’or… une lune bleue comme le ciel à minuit remplaçant son œil droit… son cou orné d’un long collier d’écarlate… tout habillé de bleu et de noir à part une grande fourrure blanche entourant ses épaules… si grande qu’elle ressemblait presque à des ailes…

« Dimitri ?! Le reconnut-elle enfin, lui hurlant dans le miroir, refusant d’avoir la stupidité de se retourner, sachant qu’elle ne trouverait que le vide là où trouvait le roi déchu. Tu ne peux pas être là ! Tu es mort ! Tu es mort !

« Eldegard… assassine de Fodlan… nous nous reverrons… nous nous reverrons tous… prend garde… au solstice d’hiver… »

Eldegard ne le laissa pas finir, attrapant le miroir pour l’exploser au sol, le fracassant en mille éclats de verre pour le faire disparaitre, même si un dernier murmure se fit tout de même entendre dans les bris de verre, sonnant comme une malédiction…

« Nous nous reverrons à la prochaine Chasse… »

💗Is there a scene you can’t wait to write for a WIP? / Y a-t-il une scène que vous avez hâte d'écrire pour un WIP ?

La scène où Ludovic retourne dans le passé et retrouve tous ses proches ! Je pense qu'il partira d'une manière assez calme du passé - son corps a atteint ses limites et est renvoyé à son époque - et quand il est de retour à son époque, il se réveille avec tous ses proches autour de lui qui n'ont rien remarqué car, son corps est parti qu'un fragment d'instant avant de réapparaitre dans le fragment suivant. Il se demande s'il a rêvé mais, la douleur de ses blessures reçu pendant la bataille de Fhirdiad lui fait comprendre que oui, tout était vrai. Guillaume voie qu'il semble perdu après s'être réveillé en sursaut alors, il s'approche pour savoir ce qui s'est passé, et la première action de Ludovic est de le serrer dans ses bras, heureux de le voir en vie, et même s'il est étonné, Guillaume lui rend son étreinte en comprenant qu'il en a besoin. Etant donné que toutes leurs interactions ensemble sont des souvenirs de Ludovic, j'ai hâte d'écrire une interaction où les deux sont en vie. J'ai aussi envie de vous présenter toute la bande de cette époque !

Sinon, c'est pour un autre WIP que j'ai en stock que j'ai commencé mardi pour Halloween : Delagarde gagne dans CF en tuant littéralement tout le monde mais, Sothis provoque une chasse fantastique pour la punir. J'adore écrire les scènes de rêve et de cauchemars alors, mettre Delagardeet toute sa bande dans un véritable cauchemar éveillé où ils deviennent les proies d'âmes vengeresses qui les font payés pour ce qu'ils leur ont fait, ça va être très satisfaisant à écrire. ça permet de bien se défouler en plus, vu que j'ai aussi inclut un OC que je déteste dedans pour qu'elle paye pour tous ses mauvaises actions des mains de ceux qu'iel a fait le plus souffrir dans les fics d'origine (raison pour laquelle je ne publierais surement pas cette histoire sur mon tumblr ou alors, en coupant cette partie ou en la modifiant assez pour éviter qu'on reconnaisse ce perso car, ce n'est pas un des miens et que je ne veux pas contrarier son auteur, il fait ce qu'il veut dans ses histoires, surtout qu'un de ses comptes me suit). J'aime beaucoup aussi le thème de la chasse fantastique, où le personnage fait la rencontre de créatures et personnages étranges pendant qu'ils chassent mais, ne sait pas si elle est là pour y assister, prendre part, juste passer son chemin ou si c'est lui le gibier alors, c'était l'occasion de mixer les deux !

J'ai très envie d'écrire la scène de fin qui sert de chute, mais je préfère éviter d'en parler car c'est sensé être une sorte de rebondissement / twist alors, la scène que j'ai le plus envie d'écrire est la mort de Delagarde et celle d'Hubert : Delagarde se fait prendre en chasse par les fantômes de Dimitri et Marianne qui la chassent en couple comme on chasse un sanglier avec l'aide de Ferdinand, tous ayant des apparences très étranges étant donné que ce sont des revenants (par exemple, Marianne est une sorte d'hulde inversé car au lieu d'avoir le dos creux, elle a le ventre creux et on voie ses organes étant donné qu'El l'a éventrée pour être sûr de tuer le possible enfant de Dimitri qu'elle pourrait porter, tout en brillant de mille feux dans la nuit du solstice d'hiver car, son ancêtre était une sorcière maniant la lumière et les ombres et que Dimitri la surnommait "mon étoile"). Pour Hubert, c'est Hilda, Dedue et sa soeur Sasiama qui le tuent : Hilda le fait danser jusqu'à ce qu'il n'ait plus de pied d'usure car, il s'est moqué d'elle en disant qu'il la ferait danser avec Claude quand il l'a tué avec sa magie, et Dedue l'achève avec Sasiama en donnant des coups de masse sur ses os comme un forgeron bat le fer car, Hubert a aussi récupéré son corps pour étudier les effets de la gemme emblématique sur son corps. Je sens que ce sera très jouissif à écrire comme mort ! (comme la mort de Jéritza, Dorothéa, et Bergliez avec la libération de Derdriu qui est habité à présent par des morts revenus à la vie)
